Who are we?

leaning.jpg

Launceston Youth Music Theatre is a non-profit Community Interest Company, based in Launceston, Cornwall.

Set up in April 2023,  we provide performing arts opportunities for young people in Launceston and the surrounding area. LYMT seeks to provide a safe and inclusive space for young people to develop confidence, explore their talent, take on new challenges, build friendships and reach the best of their ability, whilst creating high quality musical theatre.

We are passionate about making theatre arts accessible to children and young people of all backgrounds and abilities. Under the guidance of our experienced teachers, students have the opportunity to train in the three fundamental theatre arts of drama, dance and singing.

We give children and young people the skills, support and encouragement they need to be confident in all areas of their lives, in addition to the opportunity to perform in concerts, local events and shows throughout the year.
